Though they do call the original Galactica series "cheesy," CBS News does believe that the re-imagined BSG isn't "just for fanboys." In their words, it's an "existential epic." They also tag Katie Sackoff as maybe "the most charismatic actress on TV," and author David Edelstein goes on to say that "I know I sound like a fanboy, but you should see the Internet message boards, where obsessives pore over mythical and religious overtones."
C'mon over and join us, David! Obsessing, in this case, can be a lot of fun -- and a great way to meet friends.

Thanks for the invite. Please be aware that the piece is somewhat superficial because a) it was limited to 3 and a half minutes and b) it is a TV piece with room for lots of clips, and was supposed to air on CBS Sunday Morning last week. Chuck Heston died overnight so the piece was postponed. It should be on next Sunday, 9 to 10:30, on your local CBS affiliate. (I am a great fan of you “obsessives.”)
