Speak Up!

All right, gang – tomorrow we’re recording the special call-in podcast where we play your phone comments on the air and discuss the issues YOU bring up.

So now’s your chance! Get your voice heard and your ideas aired. The site here is always brimming with thoughtful, intelligent comments – now we wantto hear you voice them.

(If you’re worried about your secret identity being revealed, you can always pretend to be someone else. If you’re reluctant to hear your own voice played back – well, it’s time for you to know the truth.)

We’re looking forward to hearing all your great ideas, so call our Cy-line at(214) 296-9229.

Well, after my disasterous attempt at calling in last time, I decided to record it myself. I’m not an audio guy, but it can’t be worse than me being spontaneous on the phone.

  2. Lt. Slingshot says:

Audra I took your kick in the butt as intended and called in. Hopefully I didn’t ramble too much or reach to far with my questions. This was a great idea and I can’t wait to hear what our other ‘Watercoolians’ and you our hosts have to say.

  3. Tanu says:

    hehehe, “cy-line”

  4. ShinyFab says:

Okay, so I left a message. I didn’t have a land line to call on so I hope it comes out all right.

  5. Lt. Slingshot says:

Hey Pike. Since we were talking about this song awhile back, I thought you might enjoy this one.

  6. Arktis says:

This is all well and great except nobody has actually responded to my message about sending in an audio clip. Not everyone wants to pay long distance phone charges.

It can’t work if you people aren’t on the ball.

    I’m disappointed.

  7. Arktis says:

This was several days ago, by the way. So you’ve had ample time.

  8. The 13th Cylon says:

Ouch. I was a bad Cylon. I totally forgot to do this today! So much for model 13 and my many copies, I’m the first to get boxed.

  9. BoxytheBoxed says:

No i was, WHERES THE PODCAST!!!!!?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  10. Pike says:

Slingshot, thanks so much. That vid is fraking brilliant!

  11. The 13th Cylon says:

Boxy: How do you know you’re not a model of me (albeit totally different looking)?

  12. The 13th Cylon says:

    And it’s official, we’re getting a movie:

An interview by the Chicago Tribune with Ron D. Moore and David Eick reveals more Season 3 information (with some potentially-spoilery images) and an announcement of a special Battlestar Galactica 2-hour movie in the works that bridges events of seasons 3 and 4. The movie will likely be a direct-to-DVD and/or TV movie, not theatrically released.

    Take that, webisodes!

It’s under the Colonial Fleet News Service, but I don’t want to get spoiled on the season 3 stuff, so I’m just not going to look at all.

  13. Pike says:

Heh. I just noticed that wer’re all circling around like sharks, waiting for the next ‘cast.

  14. Chuck says:

Arktis: It’s been totally a work and “other committments” issue. All three of us were completely overrun this week, so we didn’t get much chance to participate here until today.

So, since we very much would like to hear from you — I’ll email you with my address, and if you’ll send me your audio, we’ll manage to include it in a separate podcast — or next week’s.

FWIW, you’ll note that we’re all kind of “looser” in this ‘cast than we are normally, mostly because we all worked up until the last minute when we got together to record the ‘cast — so the ‘cast was really a sort of release for us.

Anyway, I’m sorry we weren’t able to get back to you in time, and we’d still love to hear from you!

Boxey/All: Podcast shortly. This one took a little longer to record and edit/produce than most — hence the late-night release. It’s outputting as I write this, so it should hit the website in the next couple of hours and iTunes soon after.

I hope you enjoy it, and I *really* appreciate all of you sticking around through the holidays and sharing your ideas here and on the phone. You’ve helped *us* get our BSG fix, and I hope we’ve been able to return the favor.

  15. Arktis says:

No thanks. I don’t really want to be singled out like that out of politeness. It’s kind of offensive to tell you the truth.

Well, anyhow, here’s hoping for a great podcast. Glad you guys are unwinding. Always good to relax. 🙂 Should be very interesting to hear some of the posters, and I’m looking forward to it!

  16. Pike says:

    13, good link. Here’s the de-spoilered summary:

As the GWC crew mentioned, some or all of the stuff promised by the commercial may not be presented at face value. Kara’s backstory is fleshed out. The DVD project is still in the talking stage, and the talks currently include a SciFi airing. It’ll be an “adjunct to season four.” It won’t be a Caprica tie-in. It will involve the “return of a very popular character.”

  17. Lt. Slingshot says:

Cool idea. Thanks 13th and Pike for keep the spoilers out.

  18. eric-michael says:

I just decided today, after watching part of the marathon today, that this show simply would not work without the word “frack.” the dialouge wouldn’t work, the characters wouldn’t work … what do you think?

  19. Pike says:

    Frakin’ A, e-m!

  20. Arktis says:

“return of a very popular character.”

Kat? Billy? Tigh’s wife? If they give us Boxy, I’ll scream.

  21. Pike says:

    Arktis, they said “popular”…

  22. Arktis says:

Okay, so then tell me what other more popular characters have died off or gone away so that their appearance would be a “return”. Or am I missing something? I am, aren’t I? *thumps self on forehead*

  23. BoxytheBoxed says:

DANIEL JACKSON, Atkins im not very happy, with any of you you Boxey haTers. According to onew of RDM’s podcast im still alive, on the same ship as Bulldog, aw Crap Bulldog

  24. Arktis says:

I’m finally gonna have to call you on this, Boxy: my nick is ARKTIS, NOT “Atkins”. I am NOT the atkins diet. 😉
