Well, after my disasterous attempt at calling in last time, I decided to record it myself. I’m not an audio guy, but it can’t be worse than me being spontaneous on the phone.
Audra I took your kick in the butt as intended and called in. Hopefully I didn’t ramble too much or reach to far with my questions. This was a great idea and I can’t wait to hear what our other ‘Watercoolians’ and you our hosts have to say.

And it’s official, we’re getting a movie:
An interview by the Chicago Tribune with Ron D. Moore and David Eick reveals more Season 3 information (with some potentially-spoilery images) and an announcement of a special Battlestar Galactica 2-hour movie in the works that bridges events of seasons 3 and 4. The movie will likely be a direct-to-DVD and/or TV movie, not theatrically released.

It’s under the Colonial Fleet News Service, but I don’t want to get spoiled on the season 3 stuff, so I’m just not going to look at all.
Heh. I just noticed that wer’re all circling around like sharks, waiting for the next ‘cast.
Arktis: It’s been totally a work and “other committments” issue. All three of us were completely overrun this week, so we didn’t get much chance to participate here until today.
So, since we very much would like to hear from you — I’ll email you with my address, and if you’ll send me your audio, we’ll manage to include it in a separate podcast — or next week’s.
FWIW, you’ll note that we’re all kind of “looser” in this ‘cast than we are normally, mostly because we all worked up until the last minute when we got together to record the ‘cast — so the ‘cast was really a sort of release for us.
Anyway, I’m sorry we weren’t able to get back to you in time, and we’d still love to hear from you!

As the GWC crew mentioned, some or all of the stuff promised by the commercial may not be presented at face value. Kara’s backstory is fleshed out. The DVD project is still in the talking stage, and the talks currently include a SciFi airing. It’ll be an “adjunct to season four.” It won’t be a Caprica tie-in. It will involve the “return of a very popular character.”

I just decided today, after watching part of the marathon today, that this show simply would not work without the word “frack.” the dialouge wouldn’t work, the characters wouldn’t work … what do you think?
