This was easily one of the biggest, baddest panels of the day! It’s Ironman 2, with Jon Favreau and Robert Downey, Jr. — who totally owned the room, by the way. Read on for more Iron Man pix!

If I had to quantify Saturday at SDCC. I’d say it’s a good day to walk the floor as most people are in the myriad of panels held that day. For example, the photo above show what it looked like to line up for Ballroom 20 at about 9:30 a.m. Needless to say we missed the Chuck panel, which was the first one of the day. Dark Horse announced at the San Diego Comic Con that they’re teaming up with the lovely Felicia Day to create a three part comic mini-series based on hit web-video franchise The Guild.  It seems Dark Horse’s Scott Allie is a fan, too: “Felicia’s amazing, and her writing will translate smoothly into comics. This’ll make a great companion to our line of comics. It’ll fit great alongside our webcomics and our Whedon books. And I’m really looking forward to working with her to get into some areas the show simply can’t because of budgetary reasons,” he said. Read on for more details.

A recent post on Slashdot asked: Where will we find the next “science hero?” The author implied that ever since Carl Sagan finished Cosmos, no one’s stepped up to bring science to the public as effectively. Thankfully, I’m not sure that’s true! But read on for my top four Carl Sagan replacement contenders — plus seven honorable mention candidates, too.

Even though I’m not at Comic Con this year — thanks so much to the Bkitty and the other GWC crew for keeping us up on the hotness! — that hasn’t stopped me from running into some sweet stuff.

I’ll admit I have a bit of a crush on Megan Fox. Ok, I’m slightly obsessed and seeking help. But the point is she may actually be a little bad for your health. Case in point: Jennifer’s Body.

This week we discuss the awesome MMO Eve Online and David Weber’s Honorverse, joined by in-studio guest GWCer Juan! Highlights: we talk to the talented and fun Ian Chisholm (creator of the machinima feature films Clear Skies and Clear Skies 2), compare Eve’s all-PvP universe to other MMOs, taste a bit of the yarr with long-time Eve pirate (and Eve blogger at lifeinlowsec.blogspot.com) Mynxee, hear about Sean’s Eve-hooker experience, discuss the connection (in both strategy and technology) between Eve and the Honorverse, talk true leadership and Honor Harrington’s take on the subject, love on Nimitz (the badass tree cat), and generally enjoy sharing some of our favorite sci-fi film, literature, and gaming material. Enjoyed hearing about Eve? There’s a free 14-day trial going on now. We’d love to fly with you!

Just a small morsel to temp your taste buds on the exhibit hall floor! The next Food Network Star? You saw it here first! (Or maybe at your local con. Either way!) Friday was such a great day. We’re all beat. More details later as my mind is still on hyper-drive.

Here’s a photo from Friday’s Dollhouse panel with Boss Joss and Eliza Dushku — complete with two late arrivals Twittered-there by Eliza! They screen Epitaph in its entirety. It’s mind blowing. Really. Read on for more!

Behold, the newest Tron Legacy trailer. Special thanks to David Heames, who tweeted this just a few minutes ago!

A few notes: Pay special attention to “young Flynn,” who appears in the yellow/black racing suit. And I love the darker tone. Bring it!
