GWC Podcast #145 (Live!)
This podcast was recorded live January 16, 2009 just following the BSG season 4.5 premiere. We’re joined by numerous guests including Kandyse McClure, Luciana Carro, BSG writer/producer Bradley Thompson, and show creator Ron Moore. Long-time GWCers BKitty and Lady D report live from the cast/crew premiere frak party in L.A. Highlights? They’re just too numerous to list here. We hope you enjoy this magical premiere-night ride we took with GWCers across the country and around the world, and check back next week for our more traditional non-live ‘cast — with more great guests.

Welcome
GWC is a community of friendly people who enjoy and participate in geekdom as a whole. We are young and old, female and male, writers and readers, teachers and students, philosophers and skeptics, Browncoats and Trekkies, outside continents and beyond countries -- and we have one thing in common: passionate, shameless enthusiasm.
We’re interested in TV shows, movies, comics, novels, gaming, science, and music. We’re interested in each other. We like to chat about just about any topic. We’ll listen and give informed feedback, and at the end of the day we think of GWC as a clubhouse for a (very large) group of friends.

Can’t wait to listen as I felt I lost so much with the dropouts on the live show.
Thanks
That file shows up as one byte in my RSS reader.
I can’t get it to play, I’m so sad!
@David, it worked fine in iTunes, FWIW…
It’s working fine here, and the file link is definitely correct. I’d imagine Libsyn is seeing some load from this. I’d try back just a little later and it should be fine.
Hey guys – this is my first time tuning in to the podcast. I picked up BSG at the end of last season and watched straight through up until the 4.5 premiere on Friday. Anyway, to make a long story short, BSG is absolutely incredible and I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your podcast very much. The cast/crew interviews you were able to get in there were fantastic.
Thanks for the show, and I’m looking forward to watching the final 9 episodes and hearing your podcasts as well.
(I had no trouble with the download of the MP3, just FYI)
Sorry for the double comment, just to clarify, I meant to say that I picked up BSG at the end of last -year- (2008), starting with the miniseries and going straight on up through every episode until I was caught up. Not that anyone was really curious about that, but I thought I’d clarify for the off chance that there’s one person out there going “why did he start with the end of last season?”
I’ve almost finished listening, and I just want to say a giant thanks to Chuck, Sean and Audra for keeping the coolest heads in fandom- pulling out great interviews and asking the best questions ever!
Audra. You ARE the COOLEST! Thanks for speaking for me when you told RDM how much his art has brought us all together and how much it means! Perfect.
Sean. Your ‘holy crap’ said it all. Succinct, as usual! lol! Nail, meet hammer!
Chuck. The hardest working techie in podcasting. Do you EVER sleep? Thankyouthankyouthankyou for your hard work and sorrybarb-busting to get the cast out to all of us in less than a sleep-cycle! WOW!!! There are not enough props (even those up for auction-lol) to give you to reflect how grateful I am.
Thanks guys. Thanks.
Great live podcast with great guest spots. Remember, BSG (and Caprica) was filmed in Vancouver, not Victoria (an hour and a half away by ferry). The beach scene was filmed near where that ferry leaves on the mainland ie. Vancouver side. Here’s a link to an article put out by a local blog. http://13thcolony.wordpress.com/2008/06/20/the-beach-where-their-journey-endsmaybe/
