GWC Podcast #65
Besides getting down on this week’s re-watch episode Scar, we also spend a bit of time on last week’s Halo 3 release and the forum’s re-watch of Buckaroo Banzai. Highlights: We discuss BSG’s focus on the military and how Romo Lampkin is one of the few strong (non-government) civilian characters in the series, hate on Kat’s bad attitude, love on one of the best Starbuck moments in the series (and some great Viper action), note that the Master Chief likes big butts and he can not lie (no other Spartans can deny), toss out our favorite John Bigboote quotes, condemn Zur as a hoser (though the Kodan Armada is cool), bow to Audra’s knowledge of Latin, and bitch about the nerfing of the Wile E. Coyote.

Welcome
GWC is a community of friendly people who enjoy and participate in geekdom as a whole. We are young and old, female and male, writers and readers, teachers and students, philosophers and skeptics, Browncoats and Trekkies, outside continents and beyond countries -- and we have one thing in common: passionate, shameless enthusiasm.
We’re interested in TV shows, movies, comics, novels, gaming, science, and music. We’re interested in each other. We like to chat about just about any topic. We’ll listen and give informed feedback, and at the end of the day we think of GWC as a clubhouse for a (very large) group of friends.

Most excellent idea, the “Last Starfighter” re-watch! I was never a big Robert Preston fan–that theatric voice seemed out of place for the film–but he makes a great recruiting officer.
